There are Five Progressive Competitions

 

McNAIR CUP:

This is the Club's Handicap Singles Competition and is open to all playing members.  If this is your first entry,  you will be given a handicap by the Competitions Sub-Committee commensurate with your ability and experience.  Thereafter your handicap will be amended automatically based on your performance.  

 

 

 

 

WILLIAMSON CUP:

This is the Men's Singles Championship and the winner represents the Club the following year in the Bowls England National Champion of Champions event.

HUNT CUP

This is the Ladies' Singles Championship and the winner represents the Club the following year in the Bowls England National Champion of Champions.

 LAWRENCE GORDON MEMORIAL TROPHY:

This is the 'Sets Singles'.  Play is two sets of nine ends and should the sets won then be equal, a further deciding three end set is played, with one shot only scored on each end.

 

HOWARD SMITH CHALLENGE PAIRS:

Open to all playing members of the club; entry is as a named pair.
